The hard (and confusing) truth is that it feels so much easier to follow through and take action for other people and on all the other things, and yet you know your deepest desire to serve and make changes in the world is what you are supposed to be focusing on doing.
So why are you having so much trouble making it happen?
Here’s the thing...
Your capacity, your creations, your receivership, your expression, and your full ability to LEAD yourself and others are all governed by your NERVOUS SYSTEM!
And the EXPANSION into your expression, creation, and leadership is going to be seen as a THREAT to your nervous system because it's unfamiliar, unknown, and unchartered territory.
This is entirely normal. And must be addressed (unless you prefer sabotage, self-punishment, and giving up).
So, the patterns you are playing out in your life that are creating more chaos, more confusion, more frustration, more exhaustion, and more doubt… are actually the threat responses doing exactly what they are designed to do! The trouble is, you no longer need or want to operate from those old set points held in your Nervous System’s baseline.
At every step of EXPANSION, you have to address what the Nervous System feels most THREATENED by as you put a new imprint into play.
And no amount of “fake it til you make it,” “feel the fear and do it anyway,” or “just get out of your comfort zone already” is going to stop these THREATS from impacting you or keeping your inner imposter and sabotaging patterns from running the show!
In fact, quite the opposite. By faking it til you make it, ignoring and pushing through, and hurling yourself out of your comfort zone, you actually amplify the threats, create more patterns of punishment and sabotage, and keep your nervous system operating through survival.
And it’s not enough just to “clear” the subconscious block and say a new story.
(You know this already because I bet you have been doing mindset work for a while, and clearing some of those blocks has freed things up for you, but it hasn’t fully changed your lived daily experience of who you are and what you believe you are capable of in terms of deep abiding belief and trust. Because that can only come from new wiring in the nervous system!)
Mindset work doesn’t go deep enough to work into the baseline set points of your nervous system. Without that, you aren’t actually unlocking your full energetic capacity or freeing up more creationary space inside of you! (Just like cleaning out your closet doesn’t actually put a system in place to organize your clothes or even ensure you have the right things to wear.)
Until you uncover how the threats to your expansion are activated in you and have the safety to work with them, it’s impossible to rewire your nervous system to fully TRUST new, more supportive patterns.
And without shifting the nervous system, you may believe that you are broken, that all the chaos and struggle is a sign you aren’t meant to do it, or that you just need more modalities.
