You may have heard of the Hero’s journey, and it’s influence on modern culture—in fact, you have probably had several of these Hero’s journeys throughout your life. These are the quests of adventuring out into the world, trying something new, the transformational journey that changes everything, and the resulting shifts this often reflects in your external life.
Maybe the journey resulted in a big move, a career change, traveling abroad, starting a business, starting a family, or a complete overhaul in the way you live and interact with the world—and these shifts are visible to you and others.
But what about the inner processes - the HEROINE’S JOURNEY?
The changes that aren’t always visible to others?
The transformation of how you FEEL, THINK, DREAM, DESIRE, and RELATE to yourself?
The shift in WHO you know yourself to BE?
This inner part of the journey is not often privileged in the same way that the external is.
While the hero’s and heroine’s journeys can happen separately, I find it incredibly POTENT when we consciously choose to marry these journeys through going on pilgrimage.
Travel allows you the opportunity for adventure that changes in the external world brings - AND when you combine this with the process of inner transformation that happens on this type of pilgrimage, you get…
ALCHEMY!!!
Alchemy: the process of taking something from one state or form and applying different energies or elements to shift it to a NEW form.
When you take the base elements of yourself from where you currently are in your self-evolution and work with these energies or elements through an alchemical process- you can shift into a new state of being.
This is a Metamorphic process—the shape you take is the potential that is ALREADY within you!
So alchemy is not about fixing—it’s about revealing the inner things that have been held at the core of you all along.
Sacred Alchemy is:
- A process of allowing you to understand your own inner workings and makings (psyche).
- Looking at who you already are and accessing your inner depths to bring your unique essence forward in your life.
- To understand what it is to be in a dynamic, loving, and clear relationship with yourself.
Glastonbury:
My first pilgrimage to Glastonbury was in 2017, and I was shocked by how my body seemed so aligned, open, and in tune with the spaces and places. I had only previously experienced those sensations in Ireland and at sacred Cherokee sites.
Truthfully, I was expecting to hate Glastonbury due to the tourism, but I felt the call to go and followed the impulse. My experience was transformative and beautiful.
After traveling back to Glastonbury many times over the years and leading several pilgrimages there, I was not surprised when I received my DNA results and discovered that my 'way back' ancestors were in Somerset and Wiltshire before moving to Scotland and then northern Ireland.
Glastonbury is both an ancestral and spiritual home for me, and I cannot wait to share it with you!
The energy there is quite powerful, with both the Red and White Springs in Glastonbury running along the energetic ley lines, often referred to as Dragon lines or the Mary and Michael lines. Glastonbury has been a site of pilgrimage for thousands of years, drawing believers and seekers of many faiths and ideologies.
It is a haven for the pilgrim, as Glastonbury is considered the heart chakra of the earth.
So why go on this journey of Sacred Alchemy with me?
I’ve been leading international retreats since 2011 - the land in Glastonbury is a homeland for me. There is a cellular activation in the energy I carry. I have been channeling the energy of Scared Sites since 2015, and this work is deeply integrated into how I teach and lead.
Sacred Alchemy isn’t just a tour or typical retreat.
It’s not just about seeing and consuming. It’s not about coming to Glastonbury as a voyeur or a visitor.
It’s about activating a deep level of remembrance within you.
I have a relationship with each of the spaces and energies that we will journey to together that isn’t just about showing you some cool stuff.
It’s about opening you to the energy of these spaces and places that becomes a way of accessing the inner spaces and places within yourself.
Sacred Alchemy is an Embodied Experience.
So whether you were a priestess in Avalon, a medicine woman in the jungle, a queen in the desert, or anything in between - anytime, you travel to spaces seeded with the energy and consciousness of alchemy, of the union of divine masculine and feminine, brings you ALIVE to live as the connection between the earth and cosmos.
And no matter your personal lineage (yours might not be Avalon), working with someone who carries these energetic codes is a way for you to remember your own lineages, too.
The sites in Glastonbury are a portal into remembering your own energetic empowerment and finding your own voice in the HERE and NOW.
And I truly believe that integrating the parts of you that need to be available in this lifetime is essential if we are going to shift the current of our larger systems and structures for humanity together!

What we will do over the 2 days together:
DAY 1:
- We will spend the first day "on pilgrimage," moving through sacred sites such as Glastonbury Abbey, The Magdalene Chapel, a labyrinth walk, a sacred apple grove, and The Tor.
- We will finish our pilgrimage day with a private ceremony at the Chalice Well Garden.
- Here, we will open the body through the powerful, energetic ley lines that cross at the Red Spring.
DAY 2:
- The second day will have us diving deep into our inner alchemy by working with the three cauldrons- the Cauldron of Warming, the Cauldron of Motion, and the Cauldron of Wisdom.
- These cauldrons, as laid out in medieval Celtic bardic texts, are the metaphysical centers located within the human body that guide our embodiment and actualization process.
- We will finish this process with a ritual at the White Springs. We will have private access to the "cave" in order to ignite and integrate the work from the two-day journey.

Elisha Tichelle is a sacred life mentor and embodiment coach for visionaries, creatives, healers, and coaches.

For years, we offered an annual pilgrimage or retreat, but with the current demands of the work of Elisha Tichelle & Co. shifting, I do not know when or if I will ever offer another trip of this nature. I would love to be with you in Glastonbury in 2024!
